At this point, you'd think nothing new could be discovered or attempted in the coffee or espresso world. The lie detector proved that is a lie. Nestled right on the main strip in Frankfort, these fresh-roasted beans and seemingly endless combinations to start off the day really blow us away—and we're pretty sure they will you too.
What To Order
Normally, my inner coffee self tells me to keep it simple. My addiction to sugar, however, could never be stronger than in the early AM, and Bella's Café in Frankfort, Michigan, has just the ticket for crossing off that craving.
From a dozen or so bagel options for breakfast to over TWO THOUSAND drink combinations, their menu is anything but minimal. (This is a compliment.) Surely, there is a coffee fanatic somewhere behind all these choices.
And there's nothing wrong with having options. We all know we have our favorites when it comes to that early morning cup of Joe.
Some points of interest: The New York Bagel (ask for salt, pepper and ketchup like a true New Yorker), the Iced Americano is solid by default, and of course, nearly anything can be made with a substitute milk—although they do not have almond milk.
The Atmosphere
Where big brands miss the mark, Bella's Café nails this perfectly.
Comfy couches, games to break up the workflow or just hang out, and plenty of co-working space. The Wi-Fi stays strong without blips, and the bathroom is always spotless. The line is out the door for a majority of the day, which was honestly a shocking surprise. Locals and visitors love them, and it's truly easy to see why.

Critical feedback isn't something that first comes to mind here. This really is just a praise moment for a local business.
